About
Joy McNeal-Smith is a wife, mother of 3, proud Maryland native and founder of Paint 4 the People.
​
Joy graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1997 with a B.A. in art education. After graduation, Joy worked as a freelance artist, Licensed Childcare Director and private art instructor. Joy currently works as a veteran art teacher with Baltimore City Public schools. While dedicating 19 years of service as a teacher, Joy continued to create custom art work in oil and acrylic for individual clients, paint faces for school and church events and create indoor murals.

After attending a local paint party with friends, Joy was inspired to host and teach a party of her own. With the help of friends, Joy instructed a paint party, years after that first local event. That evening Joy discovered a new way to share her passion for art, love of education and the power of creativity with her community. From that artistic gathering, Paint 4 the People was born.

Art Parties

We bring the art party to you! In person and now VIRTUALLY!
At home, a rented space or your favorite restaurant, you invite your guests and we will do the rest!

Gallery wrapped canvases available in 8x10, 9x12, 12x12, and 16x20, wine glasses and jute bags. Each guest is provided with an apron, disposable palette, easel, paint, brushes and a canvas of their own. Instruction time is fun and professional and lasts 2 – 3 hours. Choose a party theme and an image to paint. Our goal is to customize the creative experience to you and your guests interests and ability level.

Face & Belly Painting

Paint 4 the People offers a vast assortment of full/partial face and belly designs to choose from. Pretty flowers, magical unicorns and stars to super heroes, villains and scary skulls… we can do it all!

Belly Painting for expectant mothers is conducted gently and privately. We can accommodate any theme or create a
one-of-a-kind memory for just for you!
If you are looking for elaborate designs and have a special event to plan or just a few quick and simple faces we have the materials and talent to meet your needs. We use only the highest quality FDA compliant face paint and pride ourselves on safe sanitary services.
Our fees include table and chair set up, display sign, image menu and artist. Indoor or covered space protecting from wind, sun and rain required.
